Bill Brennan founded our Firm in Manchester in 1980 as a sole practitioner under the banner of “William E. Brennan, P.A.”, committed to serving individuals and small businesses in a wide range of legal matters. He focused his practice on criminal defense and civil litigation. His trademarks were honesty, hard work and longs hours. Those hallmarks are maintained in our practice today.
Ron Caron earned his J.D. in 1982 and joined Bill in his practice that same year. Together, Bill and Ron expanded services and resources to clients. Their criminal defense and litigation practice grew quickly. A mere three years passed and in 1985
Gary Lenehan (a former Managing Attorney in the N.H. Public Defender Program) joined Bill and Ron. With the addition of Gary and his experience in criminal trial practice, the Firm’s expertise in criminal defense became even more defined and other areas of the practice continued to grow. In 1987, the addition of
Mike Iacopino (also a former N.H. Public Defender) complimented a well-established criminal defense practice, while representation in civil litigation and family law was encouraged to flourish. Together, these members of our Firm shaped their law practice into an organization now known throughout the State as “Brennan, Caron, Lenehan & Iacopino”. Working together for more than 25 years, they are the nucleus of a litigation-based practice that is second to none in expertise and quality of representation.
Yet the Firm continued to grow in its practice and expansion of services.
Kathy Hickey joined the Firm in 1991 to concentrate her work in family law.
Bill Quinn came aboard in 1999 after six years in a diverse private practice in the Conway area to supplement our civil and family law litigation services.
And the expansion continued. Jaye Rancourt, another incredibly talented lawyer whose skills were honed as a staff attorney with the N.H. Public Defender Program, signed on with us in 2003. She complements Gary and Mike in our criminal practice. Three years later in 2006,
Kristin Clouser presented herself as a former judicial law clerk prepared to support us in transactional and litigation matters. Support the Firm she has, with her adoption of a philosophy built upon competence, trust, honesty and diligence.
When perhaps we thought that to discover another lawyer who would adopt the level of commitment all of us do . . .
Jim Connor joined ranks with us “Of Counsel” in July 2009. Jim brings with him a 45-year private practice in Manchester. He is known throughout the State as a man of integrity and as a lawyer blessed with that combination of legal ability and common sense that is rare indeed.
Good things come to us in three-year intervals. Iryna N. Dore starts her career as a lawyer here on October 14, 2009. Iryna is a 2009
cum laude graduate of the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program of the Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord. She is tasked to support our civil litigation and family law practices.
The Shareholders and Associates of our Firm have worked together for a time spanning decades. We are unique in this time of closures and mergers to have worked together without interruption since Bill Brennan’s start in 1980. We harness our combined strengths to the benefit of our clients, to whom we credit our success. The trademarks of honesty, hard work and longs hours continue.
